I received a call from the same people, they gave the name of John Wright and Mark Williams saying that I would be sued for 10,000 if not appearing in court the next day. They have ALL my personal information. What can we do to stop these people?
I got 7 phone calls from them in 2 minutes.They keep asking for the same person after I told them over and over it was not her number. I contacted my local police deptment and they called the number and told them not to contact me anymore. The police called me back at 2:26 and said "They won't be calling you anymore. I told them you weren't the person they were looking for and that person has moved out of the area." I hung up the police at 2:28 (on my house phone) and at 2:28 they called my cell again asking for the same person. When I called the number back from my landline they answered the phone "WHO IS THIS??" I sure wish I could understand all what they were saying I can only catch the first name of the person they are looking for.
I have received calls from this number 3 or 4 times over the last 6 month, never consistent...just random. The person, who speaks with a heavy accent, says that my friend has involved me in a legal matter and that we are both going to get in trouble. Whatta joke! Anyways after reading everyone else posts it makes sense, I am sure my friend has used my name as a reference when getting a payday loan. So now they have my number and are trying to scam me. I never answer or return their calls.
I received a call from someone from this fake establishment that I owed a payday loan that I never received. They first told me it was for $435 then they said it was for $615. That let me know that it was a scam so I googled the first # and sure enough I am not the first victim. This is the second number I have googled from these loosers and I see that there is a patter of scamers running the same line on others. I need to know how to report them if anyone have any information please share.
