have been calling for days and won't leave a message. When they called today I pressed 1, and then cut off the lady talking and asked if they will give be credit if I am being foreclosed on (not really happening, but I might as well make entertainment out of their nuisance) she said she would have to look at my credit first. So I proceeded to tell her that I just got parolled and it might take me a while to clean it up do to my work-release only letting me out supervised to work (no shopping). She hung up, and I'm pretty sure they won't call back.
I got a call from this number. I did not answer it, however, I did call the number back. There is a message stating that the number is no longer in service.
Also received a call from this number. Pressed 1 to supposedly lower interest rates. Man answered with 'customer service for visa/mastercard'. Asked me if I had at least $3,000 in credit card debt with 12% or higher interest rate. When I said no he hung up. It's a good thing he hung up b/c I knew from the start it was a scam and he was going to get an earfull...not that he would have cared but still!
Received call to lower credit card interest rate by pressing 1 or let the offer expire by pressing 2. I was sure it was a scam since it wasn't my bank calling but wanted to see how far it would go. I pressed 1. Man answered saying he was with customer service with Visa/Mastercard and wanted to know if I had at least $3,000 in credit card debt with a 12% interest rate or higher. When I said no he hung up on me.
I got the same as others, this number keeps calling my house and if I answer it asks me to hit 1 in order to lower my rates with credit card. I hit 1 in order to tell him to 'take me off the list' and the guy answers and says, you hit 1 to lower your interest rate? I said, no I hit 1 to tell you to take me off your list, he says, "Well, everytime you hit 1, you just registered for 10 more calls." and hung up. I am also on the Do Not Call list. I am online looking to see if there is somewhere else I can report this caller, because there is a fine associated with calling people on the Do Not Call list and they can be reported.
