this was a call from a company called premier gateway, and were offering a free trip. this company actually transfered me to a outside number 6 646 537 3462
It was a recording first and I pressed one to speak speak to a rep. They said that they could lower credit card rates for all major credit cards that you have. I asked for the name of the company and he hung up. It is a con to get your credit card info.
I received a recorded call saying this was the last day for me to get lower interest on my credit card. I pushed the number to be connected and talked with a person by the name of Mathew McConnolly (like the actor). He told me that someone from Visa had given him my number so that I could get a reduced rate on my c.card. When I asked him what company this was he said it was Consumer Card Services. I also asked for a phone number and the number he gave me (I called it from my other phone when he did not know, and Visa Global customer services answered). By this time I was a bit suspicious and he put me through to another person (Brian Harris ID number L65106)who practically yelled at me and was condescending. I asked him where their company was and he gave me the address 121 Raven Street, Phoenix, Az. He said that if I wanted my interest rate reduced I would have to give him my credit card number, expiration on the card and the last 4 digits of my soc.sec.number. At this time I said I suppose you will want to know what the 3 digit number on the back of the card is as well...yes, he said the next agent would need this to verify...verify my butt...these are scam artists that prey on the unsuspecting...be careful out there and don't give anyone any information if they call you....
called me about reducing credit card rate, i don't own a credit card, probably a fraud thing to obtain a credit card #, when i question Lindsey as to the name of the company, she stated Card Services, then she hung up on me as if she was suspicious of my line of questioning; hit *69 to retrieve the #, then called it back to complain about them calling me several times a day & low behold same response as other comments-out of service: *60 is supposed to block but, it doesn't on this #, probably has to do w/its set up to pull plug if anyone gets suspicious-however the # appears to be coming from KEY WEST. Filing complaints w/violations of do not call list may help
They called and said via a recording not to panic that this was my last day to get a lower interest rate on my credit card and that they had been trying to reach me for some time. I know it wasn't my bank, so I'm wondering if someone is trying to commit fraud?
