looked at that link to statscorp.com and yup your right Valentine there is nothing on them so I can safely say that I didnt get scammed but wonder what happend to those that did go threw with it
I got this e-mail as well after I posted my resume to a job website. I sent off the first e-mail for the application but once I got the third I printed everything out and started reading. Here is the e-mail below.
Dear Heather,
With reference to your Resume and Application Form we are pleased to
announce that you have qualified and you have been appointed as
Customer Assistant.
You can find 2 files attached:
1. Employment Agreement: fill-in, print, sign, scan and send it back
2. Account Form: fill-in and send it back
3. Identity document*: scan and send it back
* - To verify your identity you have to send us a scan of
your ID, passport or DL.
You may use scanner/digital camera/web camera.
Your document will only be used for verification purposes and will be
stored in a secure area.
If you are happy with the proposed terms and wish to accept this offer
of employment, please sign the duplicate copy of agreement and return
it to me within 5 days. In the event I have not heard from you by that
date, this offer will be automatically withdrawn on that date.
If you disagree with, or do not understand or wish to clarify anything
in this offer, please contact me to discuss any issue you wish to raise.
there are 2 attachments below. 1 an employee contract which is a basic contract but things that stuck out was they had a salary of 37,440 a year for a part-time job. Way too good to be true. The rest of the contract is poorly worded. The second attachment is bank account details. In this document it tells you that you will have to cash the money and your manager will give you further directions. This is what I read first and then I found this site. They want you to cash transactions for them does not make sense. Biggest red flag I found. I will be sending this to the authorities. I'm not happy that I even sent in the first application form. I got caught up in the excitement a little too much. Also their website doesn't even work any more.
