Caller (sounded like a recording) offering to reduce interest rates on credit cards. SCAM!! Don't do it, it's a trick. All they want is your credit card number so they can bleed you dry. These and other criminal elements are now spoofing numbers that appear to be coming from the same area code they are calling. The call is more likely to be answered if the person being called recognizes the caller's area code. Remember, legitimate callers make use of the Do Not Call List and they will not call you if you are on it! Criminals, however, don't care one way or the other and they will call you anyway.
