received a call from an indian woman with an american name. She wished me the best of luck as a legal situation unfolded on me. Basically, she wanted me to send her money b/c I supposedly owed it. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

All you have to do is ask them if in fact a case has been filed aginst you. If they lie and say yes, ask them for the case number and in which court was it filed. That will get them angry enough to either swear at you or hang up. No LEGIT legal firm or collection agency would do that. If that doesn't work, ask them where they are located (they responded to me - "in your mother's (vulgar name for [***])". Ask them what is their address. If they do try and give you a repsonse ask them if they are registered with the BBB, what legal firm represents them, what is that firm's contact information, etc. Keep asking them resonable questions and eventually they will give up and hang up. 9 times out of 10 they will swear at you in the process. If they were legit they would be happy to answer each question. I have been threatend by them numeorus times and I can assure you they NEVER followed through with their threats. DO NOT ALLOW YOUSELF TO FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!!
caller said I owe money and I need to call right now or I will be in great leagl trouble. If I owe money they should send me a letter or something have not received anything . I am retried and have no income, so sue me
Just got threatened to be taken to jail from my job and will have to sit for 7 days. Also I called back after calling my bank and making sure no suspicious activity was going on, and when I told her that she was irate, and told me good luck and that the sheriff will be coming for me.
