I had several hang up calls from them and finally answered the phone. A Randal Doornbos was the name given to me. He asked for me by name and claimed he was given my name by someone. The business called VCMerchant funding. Claims a person could earn 2 to 3000 extra a month working for them using home computer finding them contacts for credit companies. A person would have to have a business license which they claim they provide. It got way to detailed for me to agree to anything on the phone. They want at least 450$ to start a person and asked if i could pay today. Randal claimed they have a web site with information but i can not find one. He gave a contact number of 1800 701 0236. I told them i would want to see the information in writing.
Ihave had 5 calls from this scammer over the weekend, so talked this morning to a supervisor.
BOTTOM LINE: this is a scam to get $495. I did not take the bait, L hope you won't either.
I get probably about 10 calls from this number a day. I never answer, and like everyone else, I called back and got the smae message. Well, today they did finally decide to leave me a voicemail. They claimed to be the "state police down here in _______(the city where I live)" They told me they had someone down there that wanted me to "bail them out". I saved the voicemail and I will be contacting the police because they claimed to be with the state police. As far as I'm concerned, they just broke the law.
