Unfortunately, this was a robo-call that started it's automated message as soon as I picked up the phone. The bad thing about these kind of calls is that you have to push buttons until it either hangs up or stops its recorded blathering, because it holds your phone line hostage until you do. If you hang up like I did at first, when you pick the phone back up to see if the scammer is gone, the recording is still merrily chirping away.
I get at least 3 phone calls a week with the same stupid recording to acupuncturists, always from a new number. I think I will take the advice to let it ring 3 times or more before answering if it's not a local area code (which might be a legitimate customer).
They actually called from 907-331-4710 ----- These A**Holes call me 4 - 6 times a day at my business, I have asked them at least two dozen times to stop calling our company. They continue to call. Someone do something about these scam artists !!
