A rude debt collection agency. they state that they are calling from National Association Attorneys an arbitration department. Audrie the RUDE representative refuses to give what company they are calling on behalf, and refuses to provide me with a debt validation letter. Even though I have a paid in full letter for the debt they are calling me about, I would like a debt validation letter, since I never received anything from them. She starts yelling on the phone saying that they will be coming to my home or place of work to serve me with papers. this is the 3 rd time they say that and nothing ever happens. Its the scare tactic they use and its getting old!!!
Called this number back after receiving a recorded message. Talked to a guy named Carlos. Extremely RUDE!!!! Threatened court summons etc. He asked that I verify SSN in order to provide me with information on the debt he was trying to collect. When I refused to verify SSN, he became extremely rude, told me then they were processing court documents. They also call from another number 501-313-0505. I called that number back and spoke with the same Carlos. A complaint has been filed against them with www.consumerfinance.gov.
Typical BS messages stating that he , a process server(did not name who he was with), has been faxed documents and that they he was going to serve me at work or at my home.. funny how it always the same script from all these places.. Also, in typical fashion, if I have any questions or want to stop this, I can call them back at the number and by receiving this call I have now been notified..
I hope they enjoy the trip from the West Coast of America to Europe to serve me the papers. Have fun with that!
What makes this an obvious scam is that they would not notify you they were coming and they would also not fax papers to someone to serve you that is in another country.
I have received several calls from this number. The same message used as, Fedup. I know that if you are to be served it will not be over the phone. I have reported this to our State Attorney General's Office. Another reason I know it is a scam is, I have been retired for 8 years. I'm tired of the phone calls. I'm thankful for Answering Machines and Caller ID!!
Just got the same BS message...So annoying!!! Plus at the end of their voicemail, they said "please refer to your case number" and didn't finish the sentence with an actual case number!! IDIOTS!!!
