they are calling my husband from 3073160806 3 to 4 times a day, its a machine tellng him hes gonna be served papers then they call from another number in new york telling them they are the attorney calling to collect or serve papers for a payday debt. They are claiming that we defaulted on a payday loan and are still using the account that we stopped payments to them on. WRONG.. this was ultimately included in a bankruptcy 2 years before the time they claim that we are using this so called bank account.. They call us liars and continue to call every day... what options do we have to take action back??
A fraud if I have ever heard one.
1. Leaves a computerized (and tacky) message that goes on forever.
2. Says name... then says the person and their social security number have fraud... (really, how was that confirmed?)
3. Informs that the person is about to be summoned... but to call the PLACE WITH NO NAME...
4. Gives a case number and the phone number to call...
Wow... No name of this supposed "legit" law office? court? And, oh, by the way... is this a debt? Where is a debt validation letter? What type of contact have you given? Oh, and by the way... acting like a government official IS a Federal offense. Might want to check into that scammers. Also... After this supposed summons... that person in question doesn't have any rights. Really?
