First I received a call from 386-269-4464. Looked it up here and it said IRS Scammers. I went to save it to my scam list, and accidentally began to dial it. I hung up quickly. Ten minutes later I get a phone call from this number, and it says the same thing. The first number showed Florida, and now this one shows Wyoming. It has to be the same people, using fake numbers. Don't answer, or call them back, unless you want to completely scam them back. Talk to them for 20 minutes, like you are terrified of going to jail, see if they will give you an address to mail a check to, then drop them cold, and report the address to the REAL IRS.
Scammers, claiming to be IRS agents ... .. I called back several tines and eff'd with them. After some back and forth I began to realize that their Indo or Middle Eastern" accents" (some guys tried to take on lame Caribbean accents) began to fade away as they dropped their guard; Russian or Slavic accented English became the norm as they began talking back in frustration. Not sure if that number is forwarded to whereever in the world they are, but their accented English and terms leads me to think they reside in the USA.
Received same call. This is the second irs scam this year. By the time I called back the last one to mess with them their number had already been disconnected. What kind of people do this and who would blindly send money to an unknown source. The irs DOES NOT CALL PEOPLE ON THE PHONE!!!! They send letters and you call them. If you have friends or family (especially the elderly) that would fall for this scam please call them and let them know. There are still a people in this world that are still trusting. As far as the elderly goes they are not all tech savvy and know that this kind of stuff can happen. AND IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE KEEPING AN EYE ON THESE SITES, SHAME ON YOU!!!! Why don't you use the smarts and talent you obviously have to help people instead of hurt them. If you don't think your hurting people just because your stealing a few dollars, your kidding yourself.
