I had responded to an employment posting on Craigslist and received an email requesting a lot of personal information. It is not REAL and is a joke. It is frustrating that some people waste other people's time when they are trying to find a job to support their families. I will never use Craigslist again because if this is the kind of stuff I have to deal with it; it isn't worth it. This reminds me of the Craigslist killer. Not worth it.
DO NOT MESS WITH THIS PERSON. he sounds like he has a japanese/chinese accent. I had the same craigslist mishap, except this was about a month ago and I am still suffering from this. but HE IS GOING DOWN!. It was a job posting for front desk or something.. and first I thought it was a female because of the email address. But then when I spoke with him on the phone, it obviously wasn't. He said that he was was out of town and that he had various "errands' or 'shopping' that he needed me to do. or something.. IDK. it was very leery. But I needed money and was like 'what the hell". Obviously I was a virgin to being scammed. All I gave him was my mailing address and what do you know, a few days later, a check was sent to me that I had to get'verified' or something by him.. and I ... I don't know. It seems so stupid right now typing this out. I seriously feel like a dumbass. a complete dumbass. but the check went through my bank like everything was fine. then TWO WEEKS LATER. the check was returned and now my bank account is negative significantly.. STUPID STUPID STUPID.
DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT, MESS WITH THIS PERSON. IF ANYTHING TRY TO GET INFO OUT OF HIM SO HE CAN BE PUNISHED.
While you are the victim, you are at risk of being arrested for passing counterfeit or bad checks.
