I got a call at about the same time as Kimberly did. Strange thing is that they called my Google Voice number.. which i never use. I'm not sure where they got their calling list, but it's likely not a well-selected one.
Like r.p. I received a missed call with no voice mail. There's no reason I should be expecting a call from Wyoming either. I just don't answer the phone if Idon't recognize the calling number.
Same as others have reported. While I have some connections in Wyoming, this number is not one of those. Plus, there's no reason whatsoever for them to have called my Google Voice number. I can't imagine how they got that.
I just received a call from this number. I just got this number a month ago. No clue who it was. I answered and no one replied. I said hello one last time and kept my ear on the phone to hear a sound, all I heard was clicking sounds.
Lots of these in my area, though I just got my first call from them. I have read a lot about the home security scam being tied into it. Lots of kids in my area have c/o the caller appearing local. Because they don't know the number, the don't answer. Some called it back (looking local) yet it popped up as WY when the call connected. They've all blocked the number. Not sure there is anything we can do, except report and block.
