I get calls approx 2 times/wk from these scammers. They give the usual line "your car warranty is about to expire" and to renew. "Push 1 to speak to ... and push 2 to get removed from the list. I tried "2" several times but they keep calling. Now I push 1 and have tried many things to find out how they are and to seriously remove me from their call list. I think I'll eventually write a letter to the Attorney General's office to file a complaints. These people are obvious SCAMMERS and need to be STOPPED!
This call was on my wireless phone. I live in the Phoenix, AZ area and did not answer it since I do not know the number. No message left, so call not important. Glad I did not waste my time and wireless minutes with this.
Got the same call. This is not the first time this has happened. The first time, I asked them similarly if they called me, then they would have my info. The guy asked me if my name was ****; which was the name my cell is registered to (but not my name). I knew then it was a scam.
Today, I got the call, knew what it was. Talked to a woman and asked her what the name of the company calling me was. She said Warranty Division, and whether or not I wanted more information. I said yes, the name of the company you're calling from. This went around and around. She laughed a bit and kept mumbling the name of the company, so I kept saying I didn't believe her. Then she said, "hold on please" and hung up on me.
