The Association for Firefighters and Paramedics is real, but they are listed among the worst charities in America. They only pass on about 2% of the $1.5 million they collect to actual victims. Charitynavigator.org gives them zero stars. If they call you, ask them where you can see a copy of their IRS Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax.
