Have been on the do not call list since it's inception - both cell and land line. In the past several mnths started getting these types calls on both phones. Have tried to call this number back and all I get is "not available" Isn't there some recourse regarding these calls - also the scams that are 'AMERICAN ACTION POLITICAL SURVEY"??? Then try the scam of a "free cruise". Hope no one falls for this stuff!
I am sure that I've gotten at least 100 calls from this "company" with a recording that starts off, "This is your final notice...". If only! I've done most of the things that the others have done, like pressing 1 to ask them to not call, playing along and giving fake info. Whatever. It sucks. Now, something else is happening. Their number is showing up in places that kinda freak me out. I was signing up online for a community ed class and when I entered my name all the information popped up (which I was not surprised at because I've taken classes before) but in the phone number spot, where mine should have been, it was this number!!! That was a month ago. It just happened again tonight. I was going to purchase some stamps on the usps.com site and had to fill out the info and guess what? Their phone number was in place of mine. Who can we contact about this? Should I be worried? I hate when I don't know where to turn. I hate when the bad guys can't be gotten!
Just received a call, but didn't answer. I don't answer any calls from numbers I don't know. Who is it, and what do they want? It was on my cell phone. I am on the do not call registry--a lot of good that does.....
