An obvious SCAM. This is so obvious a scam that my feelings are that anyone who falls for it deserves to lose their money.
I can't fathom how anyone would being dumb enough to fall for this.
I received the same threatening voice mail that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I had these same calls months ago where I was instructed to call a NY and a Chicago number and now it's a Cali number. SCAM!
Same thing. I'm sure it's a scam. I just went on the real IRS' website and they are specific about what steps they take and don't take when contacting customers that may owe them money.
