This is EXACTLY what just happened to me!!! i am sooo pissed!!! i dont know what to do. if you tried something and it worked or if you did not get screwed somehow, let me know... I am not sure what is going to happen either. i gave out my info too...
I have never been to David's Bridal, I've been marred 23 years. I got two calls from this number tonight. I dont have a machine or voice mail, so I don't know what they want, because I won't answer it.
Aghhhhhhhhh.. David's F&*#ing Bridal. They never have the dresses/sizes in stock. Now they have sold my name and CELL phone number to Worldwide publishers. As everyone else, I called the number back and requested to not be called again. I've been called twice since then tonight. Looking thru my David's Bridal paper work I do not see where I volunteered to have my info. released. Does anyone else? Does anyone know how long they persist in calling? Can we file vclass action law suit.......I wish! If anyone has any advice on how to end the persistant calling-please let me know/post?
I've never been to David's Bridal but I've been getting these calls. they called me a few months ago and told me I won a special prize that included a expensive watch and a few magazine subscriptions and a few other things. they also said they were going to enter my name to win a trip. they knew my full name and address and kept persisting that I give them my credit card information. I told them I didn't want to and the women kept saying how they were nationally known abd would never do anything wrong with my card. I still declined and never recieved my 'free gifts.' I just recently got a new bank account and new card number and I recieved the same call twice today within the past half hour and they said the exact same thing to me. this is a scam, do NOT give your information out!
I have also been rcving calls from this number. But it was not thru davids bridal. I read the other inputs and decided to answer when/if they call back. sure enough they did and i answered. the person offered me a trip and when i asked who he was and where he was calling from, the responce was "dave from visa." he went into his speech and i declined his offer and told him I was not interested. As for the number, 310 318 0779 is not to worldwide publishing. worldwide publishing is 1/888-875-3259. this num I got from my invoices for the magazines i order. they also have a web page: www.worldwidepublishers.net.
