Have been receiving the same call. today the "lawsuit" was filed. It's crazy that they can do this. When you call back what do they ask for? Has anyone tried calling back?
I also recieved two calls from this number (today) -they left a msg on the answering machine claiming they were the IRS and I owed them money. The IRS sends letters regarding taxes owed-they never call. Will report to IRS.
Another call from the IRS [***]. This time from Hollywood, Ca. 310-362-4433 ( Good place for them I guess) ( Must have got run out of Dallas, TX ) Why can't the REAL IRS stop these criminal extortionists. I guess because they must not owe the real IRS any money. The real IRS will destroy a persons life for a few dollars owed to them. It does not do a danged bit of good to block their numbers as they change numbers and locations frequently. Is there not some branch of the government that is responsible for investigating this type of criminal activity? They have an "Entity" for investigating everything else in our private lives! Why not this?
Callers are located in India and Pakistan. As such they are beyond the reach of US law.
Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated.
