similar story: man introduced himself as 'Tony Vince' with very strong Indian-sounding accent. He claims he's calling for AJ O'Leary at JP MORGAN. Won't leave message or return phone number. Says he was instructed to patch the call through with no other information given to him.
As with everyone else, I have encountered similar issues. I was able, however, to track it to a company called Logi Analytics, Inc. Has anyone else been able to to make this connection? I don't know if this is useful information but wanted to share as I have had similar harrassment issues and plan on contacting this company for more information.
I have received 2 calls from this number today. One from a Middle Eastern man named, John, and Charles Robertson. They only wanted to talk with my employer and would not tell me anything about what their interest was. When I pressed them, they both hung up on me.
Got a call similar sounding to what's described above, but it turned out to be a bit more legitimate than I suspected (because I assumed it was a scam). Person who called said he was the assistant to Dexter Imey (I have not idea if that's the correct spelling if there really even is such a person) and was asking to speak to my wife, who's a consultant.
I asked if I could tell her what it was about and that went nowhere. I asked if she'd know who Dexter Imey is and the caller said possibly not. I asked if I could tell her what organization he worked for and was told "Logi Analytics."
When I searched the calling number and ended up at this thread, I noticed that someone above mentioned Logi Analytics. So I looked up Logi Analytics (a legitimate, real company) and called them. Turned out that the sales department there knows who Dexter Imey is: a sales rep for a marketing company that Logi Analytics engages to do cold calling. After explaining that my wife isn't in the kind of business that can use their services, they offered to take my number and have it added to their don't-call list.
