i have been receiving calls from this number weekly for over a year. i called back one time and asked the name of the company and was told "Best Carpet Cleaning" and when I said that I was on the Do Not Call Registry they hung up on me. I have filed several complaints with the FTC and this appears to be fruitless.
I got another call from them although this time it should up as "out of area" on caller ID, and asked to schedule an appt. but when she asked my last name I asked where are they located and she hung up. I called 1-888-229-9795 and the girl that answered was nicer than the previous women who always were nasty and hung up and I did give her my number to remove and she said she would and she was sorry and that they don't annoy people on purpose.
Recording of "Allison" advising of carpet cleaning being done in our area. Press 1 to talk to an advisor. I asked the woman who answered what company it was. Answer: Best Carpet Cleaning. Where's your store? Answer: All over. We're a franchise. What's your company's telephone number? Answer: 888-279-9088. That number is not a valid phone number.
I also got this call from 800-376-1983. I called it and a woman answer. I couldn't understand her so I asked her to repeat the company name. She then hung up on me. I tried this several times with the same out come.
