Best Carpet. other phone numbers for them:(888) 279-6051, (888) 279-6050 (888) 279-6053(888) 279-6049 (800) 931-9961 and now disconnected (800) 661-0888. some of these telemarketers will hang up on you. some of them will take your home phone number and remove it from their list (at least the person I just spoke to said he would). we'll see... in the mean time I think I'll call them every 5min just because...
you may continue to call - but you can't block your hone number with *67 when calling a toll free phone number. your phone number is going to appear on their phone bill.
I am just going to go ahead and schedule the cleaning service the next time, and then I will find out from the driver who shows up where the lead came from.
If the leads turn out to be bad, no carpet company will be willing to use them.
It seems that "Allison" has a new name. Today I got a call from JULIE with Best Carpet Cleaners. My number is registered on the Do Not Call List, and usually I hang up as soon as I get these prerecorded messages, but today I decided to listen to the end. I did press the choice at the end of the message to have my number added to their do not call list. If they call again, I will schedule an appointment for them to clean my carpets at a fictitious address. Grrrr.
Carpet cleaning repeatedly calls me. One time I called the number back and was connected to the last person they called! I have not called the 800 number yet.
I am on the do not call list as well. Isn't there a penalty that this company must pay each of us that are on the list? Any lawyers out there willing to file a class action suit?
