I got the call but instead I told him I'm glad he called and that God must have sent him because my business was going into bankruptcy and I need that money so please send it immediately and I kept saying it over and over again. Please send the money my business is going under. He got so frustrated he hung up. I haven't laughed that hard since Obama said he ended 2 wars and was the best friend the Jews ever had.
caller said he was Jack (very thick Middle Eastern accent) and needed to talk to (name of owner) I told him he was on a job and asked if he need to schedule a service call. I assumed I'd get the sales pitch at this point but "Jack" went with it and said yes but he needs to know the cost and wants (owner's name) to call him back. When I asked the specific problem and then address of the job he hung up.Kudos to him for a unique attempt to get around me, but he's wasting his time and mine since we will not do business with cold callers thanks to cons like this.
Calls our business daily asking for the owner. Owner is rarely here and we tell them that, but they just say they will call back. Oh well, we can't block calls or not answer the phone. Keep calling, the owner will NEVER talk to you. I get paid to answer the phone no matter whom is on the line, so no problem for me!
Not answering a call is not an option for a business! I have to answer all blocked calls, because real consumers do have them. I have to answer all the telemarketing calls, because their caller ID does not say telemarketing call! I cannot possibly memorize all the numbers that call us on a daily basis!
