I got a call saying the IRS was going to arrest me and freeze our bank accounts by day end. We were being audited, resolved it, and paid our $538. The IRS officer handling our case stated this is a federal offense and to file a complaint with TIGTA. Done... and no more calls.
Recording came on the line saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you...................RIGHT?
The IRS never calls like this. The recording said to call 310-438-9014 immediately. Then I called the number a man with a foreign voice answered and said, "IRS how can I help you". I said, "may I have your name and ID #". He said. "Officer Alex Cooper. Badge # IRM1214". NOPE not even close to how the IRS identifies themselves. I told him he got the identification process WRONG. He said, "OK" in a very broken accent.. "I'll see you in the courthouse". SCAMMER
Scam artists! I told the woman that identified herself as "Officer Janet Jones, badge number IRM 1244591" to get a life as well as a command of the English language, and find useful work.

received a voice message from someone identifying themselves as calling from the IRS, and they were filing a lawsuit against me and that I needed to call this number immediately. I called and the phone # but no answer.
I know this is a scam, because the IRS never calls - all their correspondence is sent via postal mail. Do not believe these people - don't answer and report them.
Robot saying me and/or lawyer can call cause I have a law suit against me......good try. I use to call them back and tell them I work for DOJ and they'd hang up.
