I get calls from this # every morning at my job at 10:45 AM, there's nobody there and when I call back I get a busy signal. For months i was getting calls like this at home. When i asked to have my # taken off the list or told them I was on the Do Not Call list, they'd just hang up. So then I started telling them in the middle of their conversation that I was reporting it as a nuisance call, the calls stopped. I had been getting as many as 12 calls a day 7 days a week.
A call originating from this number was received today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message. This pattern is typical of robocallers who use automated dialers to call numbers in sequence. If the call is answered by a live person, the automated dialer alerts its master, who then initiates a conversation. The conversation may be legitimate, but increasingly it's purpose is to perpetrate a scam against the recipient of the call. For this reason, one should never answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. Let your answering machine or voice mail take the call for you. Better yet, add this number to your call blocking feature to avoid repeat contacts.
