Received several calls on my cell from the number listed below with no message. When I dialed the number the party on the other end picked up and hung up. They would not answer the phone.
I asked them how they got my number, and they somehow had my address. Then she talked about some sweetstakes and then hung up. Kinda worries me that they have my info...but they wanted to confirm it (I think)
Just got a call from 310-539-1783. Missed it - no message left. Called it back, and had a lot of background hubbub, and a woman who said "What is your name?" I asked why. She said, "Just tell me and I'll take you off the list." I said who are you. She said 'Sweeptakes - just tell me your name and I'll take you off." I said off what? She says, "Is it Brenda or Mary or (whatever) - which are you?" I asked her again why - and she again said its a sweepstakes and if you tell me your name I'll take you off.' I said I didn't think so... and hung up. 1, I don't give my name to people who don't already know it, and 2, why would I want to be taken *off* a sweepstakes anyway - seems like a person would rather be put on...if anything. At any rate, I'm fairly sure she was just trying to get a name to match up with a cell number, and I'd like to know why. No text sent - all voice.
Received a call and the person on the phone stated that I had won $25,000 for a sweepstakes, I told her I was leary of the call, and she asked for my address. When I asked why, she hung up. When I called the number back it was busy.
