I got the exact same text message asking if they could call me & I texted back HELL NO! WTH...they gonna harass us in text messages now! Ugg! New law, new law!
I just got a text message from that same number today 11/3/09. Asking about mortgage if is to high. I send them back a text asking them from where they got my number and I don't want to receive more text messages from them and i do not want to find charges from their in my cell phone bill.
I just got a text asking if my mortgage was too high, I don't even own a home! I texted back and asked how they got my number, and haven't gotten an answer. Where is the number from anyway?

I have my cell phone registered on the "Do Not Call" website (http://www.donotcall.gov). I have registered a complaint against this phone number twice in the past 3 months.
I will also file a complaint on the fcc website listed above.
Everybody has to complain in order to get something done about these intrusions!
I also recommend complaining to your politicians. LOUD and OFTEN! If they get tired of us pestering them, they'll stop those who harrass us.
I'm getting texts for stupid ads for bars in my area to watch football and first drink is free by showing the text. This is the second one I've received.
