Telemarketers wouldn't be evasive or lying about the service they're offering, or about prior contact/communication.
These are skip tracing calls, aren't they? They're trying to get information about your address, to sell to bad debt holders.
I'll bet everyone posting in this comment thread has charged off credit cards in their history. I do. Is that correct? Please post so we can all confirm.
Received a similar call as other commenters here regarding doing work on my home, a man named Michael. really fast talker could barely understand him and then he hung up.
Boiler room chatter, some person coming on line wanting to discuss home improvement stuff. I hung up and blocked them. I blocked the exact same racket numerous times before, but they call from many different numbers, and both on my land line and cell... Super annoying.
Told caller that no we've never talked about home improvements and to remove me from list, then I hung up.
She called me back and said because I was rude to her I'd never be removed from list.
A woman called about home improvements, I told her she had me mistaken for someone else because we had never met, as she claimed. She told me to "shut up and listen".
