They called my parents' house (a few times in OCtober 2008) and said that they were asking for donations for scholarships since UCLA has tight finances right now. YEAH RIGHT! My dad didn't believe it for a second and told them that if he was to donate, he will go to UCLA himself and they still insisted on asking for donation. Pathetic! Please spread the word so no one is fooled by them.
I've received two phone calls from this number. I never pick up and they never leave a message. I, too, am a UCLA grad and was exposed as part of the SSN breach.
I keep getting this number too for like a month, I don't ansewer because I don't pick up numbers I don't know, no message or anything. I'm glad I checked online and found this fourm, man this is not cool.
I received a call at 6:35 PM and did not pick up. The caller did not leave a message. I called back and a woman answered with some generic greeting. I said, "I just received a missed call from your number" and she said, "If you didn't have a message, someone probably misdialed." After reading this forum I suspect that's BS, so I said "Are you sure?" and she said, "Yes ma'am." I hung up.
I too am a UCLA alum and my SSN was in the database that got hacked.
