Fake # - called back & got automated "UCLA information" - the fact that previous reports in this forum mentioned someone with "a foreign accent" on the other end when answered means it an Asian, Indian or Persian telemarketing scam. Keep a whistle & earplugs by your phone; when theses [***] call, put in your earplugs, answer the call, wait for the scammer to start talking, then whisper so they hold their ear close to their phone - then, blow the whistle as loud as possible!
They called twice at 6:00 am - first time I didn't hear it, 2nd time I had phone switched off. Supposed to be from a West Coast number to another in same time zone - I was ready to call back and give them a piece of my mind - glad I didn't.
You people that say it's a scam because the people sound foreign...what are you? Racist idiots? You think all doctors are white bread American's? I'm under UCLA medical care at the moment and I have an Asian doctor with an accent. It's not a scam, they are probably just calling your number by mistake if you aren't doing business with UCLA. As much as I dislike the bRuins, they aren't trying to scam you. My god, everything isn't always evil.
