I received a call from this number, and the lady said I was entered in a sweepstakes and close to being a winner for $25,000. Said company was connected to the Hearst company and they have been in business 40 years and were in California. I told her I could not afford to buy anything and not interested and she said she would call back in 2 weeks if I had won anything. I told her I did not want any magazines as I get them free from the library online. She already had my name and number and address which I do not give out to just anybody. Said the lead came "from your bank" and you must have a card that you never go into overdraw. Told her I am too poor to spend money I do not have.
The woman called me talking about how I can win 25k and could win a trip for two to Hawaii. Then I said what's the catch, and she hung up sayin Ohh S#$&
I got a call from this number too stating I was in a drawing for 25K and a new car. She said she was in Ohio. I asked how she got my information and she said that a credit card company or another company that I may have made a purchase with submitted my name. She had my name, address and phone # already. She asked for my age and I said I wasn't interested. She was polite and said she would take my name off the list. That was yesterday, today they called me back. This time I didn't answer. I too looked them up on whitepages and found them in California. That is a long way from Ohio.
