They have been calling multiple times daily and not leaving a message. I finally answered and she said that she wanted to ask me a few questions to see if I qualify for a medical survery. I said that I didn't have the time and hung up. It's a scam. Just don't answer if you see CA HLTH STUDY appear on the caller id.
This is not a scam. I work for the company that makes these calls, and I do so 6 days a week. We calling from Westat, a social-service agency based in Rockville, Md. We have the contract with UCLA, to do the telephone interviewing for this project. This is the largest ongoing public-health survey in the United States. It was started in 2001, and it is done in two-year cycles. It is only for California residents. We call both landline and cell numbers, which are picked at random. We are not selling anything, nor are we asking for money or donations. All of the information that survey respondents provide is strictly confidential. The "Bay area" is in California. Unless you moved (out of State), which you never said where you moved to.
So far, I've received several calls from this company, but I was never home. But, I can't see where they have done any type of scam. Nobody has posted any type of wrongdoing, other than receiving too many phone calls. And who cares what name the phone numbers are registered to. Like I said, no reports of any wrongdoing here.
