Call from a company that wanted to speak to the person in charge of making decisions on the website. How annoying. Get with the times website companies. This isn't the 90's. Don't they know you can make and maintain your own these days?
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. While they do have an operator on the line shortly after the call is answered, they act like the call has been dropped if you ask for a company name, address, or phone number rather than provide this information that any legitimate company would gladly provide - and that they are required to provide by the TCPA. They ask for the person responsible for the web site, and want to talk about what marketing services are being used to promote the site, but since they hangup rather than provide basic information about themselves, you can be assured it is a scam. Do not provide this scammer any information.
