Just started getting this round of calls again. Thick accent, asked for our CEO by name. I asked what it was regarding. Said her name was Katherine and she was with VOIP Research Group and wanted to confirm information. When I said he wasn't in the office (which was true) she asked when she could reach him. I said he would not take her call and I thanked her and hung up.
Our company just received a call from this number. There was a lot of background noise and then a woman with a thick Asian accent came on the line to request to speak with our CFO. I insisted on taking a message while she insisted on speaking with the CFO. Eventually, she hung up.
Sounds like a HUGE scam to me. I advise everyone who receives calls from this number to hang up.
