Called me on both home and cell leaving message to return call. Told me I had defaulted in a loan and was being investigated by the Attorney General of California and will be arrested at work in three hours. Told me my SSN, drivers license and passport were canceled. I could take care of it by giving them $1290.00

RONNIE COOPER CALLED TODAY TALKING ABOUT THE SHERIFF'S WERE COMING TO MY JOB ( SCHOOL) TO SERVE ME PAPERS. ABOUT A DEBT COLLECTION. FROM CASH ADVANCE.COM NOW I APPLIED BUT I NEVER GOT ANYTHING FROM THE REAL CASHADVANCE.COM. SOMEHOW RONNIE GOT MY INFO INCLUDING MY SSN # E-MAIL ADDRESS, BANKING INFO AND PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. SO HE SAID THAT THEY HAD BEEN MONITORING MY E-MAILS WHEN I APPLIED FOR DIFFERENT LOANS. AND I AM GULITY OF MONEY LAUDRING AND FRAUD. SO HE WAS LIKE DON'T INTERUPT ME WHEN I READ THE CLAIMS FILED AGAINST YOU. SO HE READ IT AND WHAT SCARED ME WAS THAT THE INFO HE HAD ON ME WAS CORRECT & I HAVE A $99.00 TRANSACTION FROM AND IDENTIFIED SOURCE. SO HE WAS SAYING THAT HE TRIED TO RETRIEVE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT AND THE CHECK BOUNCED ( IT DID THE ACCOUNT IS NOT ACTIVE). SO I KNOW THAT THIS SO CALLED RONNIE COOPER DEBTED MY ACCOUNT. HOWEVER, I BEGIN TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT MY FATHER WAS AN ATTORNEY AND THATS WHEN HE GOT ANGRY AND STARTED YELLING. I REALLY COULDN'T MAKE OUT WHAT HE WAS SAYING. BUT AS I TALKED OVER HIM. I KEPT SAYING THATS OKAY MY FATHER IS AN ATTORNEY AND "WE" WILL HANDLE THIS. SO RONNIE HUNG UP. I CALLED THE REAL CASH ADVANCE. COM AND THEY TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT ANYMORE HARRASSING CALLS BUT FILE A POLICE REPORT B/C THEY HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR REAL INFORMATION. OH AND BTW I WORK AT A MENTAL FACILITY AND THE LAW IS NOT ALLOWED TO SHOP UP ON OUR PROPERTY FOR ANY GIVEN REASON B/C IT IS A VIOLATION OF OUR CLIENTS RIGHT. SO MR COOPER GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
I got a call from this # this morning at 7:16 am CST. Told me the same thing they have told all these other people. This "RONNIE COOPER" that I had to call back, was the same person that had called me at the same number. He asked me if I was who they where calling. Of course, it is my phone #, I replied, " Yes it is." He then began to tell me how he's a lawyer from a law firm in California, and that I was being sued and charges where being filed against me for not paying a payday loan back. He also told me that I had 3 different criminal charges against me for fraud. I cut him off for a second and told him, for ONE, I have never received any money from a payday loan company. He then told me, if I cut him off again, the phone call would be over and he would hang up the phone. He then began to read his script again, telling me that I had 3 criminal charges for fraud against me from the state of California. He knew where I worked, what bank I bank with, and he also knew the last 4 of my SSN#. I cut him off again, and I asked him what was the payday loan company's name that claims they gave me a payday loan? At this point, he began to tell me that he told me not to cut him off again, and he would be sending someone to my work to see me in the morning. And that charges will now be filed against me for criminal fraud. He then hung up the phone.
I then called my bank and told them about the call I had just received. They told me it was a scam and not to give any personal info. I'm glad I didn't. I also let my employer know about the call. If they "RONNIE COOPER" calls my employer, he will be transferred directly to the sheriff's office.
I've been calling this # back all day, on my #, and all it says is "WELCOME" then the phone hangs up. I asked a friend to call the same #, and a "RONNIE COOPER" answered the phone. My friend asked him what company he worked for, he said AMERICAN CASH ADVANCE. WTF!!! Who is "RONNIE COOPER?" He has a middle eastern accent. Does anybody know this man? 310-693-2421 is not the only # I can reach him at, but only from a different phone # other than mine. The other # is only 1 digit off of this one. It's 310-693-2422. Can anyone out there help me to find this MOTHER%$&#? I CAN'T STAND THESE DAMN SCAM ARTIST [***]!!
