I received 2 calls on my job on 10/29/10 (1st caller - Peter Park & 2nd caller - Taylor) from the Law Offices of Howard Felcher. They both stated I owed $589 to payday usa which they claimed I took a loan out with in 11/09. If I did not pay the $589 today, papers would be filed Monday (11/1/10) with the courts were I would be charged with forgery, theft, etc. I asked how come I never received a call or letter stating I owed this money and they could not respond to that. Documentation will be mailed to my job, bank, home, etc on Monday(11/1/10). They also stated that the deposit may not have appeared on my banking statement. I asked what city is this lawyer in and they stated NYC, NY and I did some research to find that Attorney Howard Felcher is an influential attorney in NYC/NJ who does not deal with these types of cases. The caller gave me the case# 8900 and they were calling from 310-929-4125.
i called the law offices of howard felcher who is a very influential attorney who does not deal with debt collection cases and they are on 5th avenue in nyc, ny. why would a high profile attorney take small cases? lol
they called my job too. i submitted a claim with the federal trade commission as they don't know I work for the federal gov't (bad decsion on their part because they will be investigated). i think their whole thing is they try and scare you into paying the money.
