Just got a call from my boss and they called him saying that I defaulted a loan, a loan, which by the way, I never took out! Then they went so far as to request my boss to garnish my paycheck. Didn't graduate law school, but I'm fairly certain this is illegal. If anyone can direct me to the proper people, I would love to persue this matter thru the court system. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

So after like 10 times of these people calling me I decided to do some research, this is a scam. I think they are just doing this to scare people into paying the money. they are threatening garnishment, legal actions, etc... man please, who are they fooling? What company is going pay lawyer fees, legal fees, court fees, and everything else thats involved just to settle on a small debt? dont fall for it people... change your number and file hurrasment charges. if we all file charges 2 things will happen. they will stop calling us, and we will all get some easy money.
May be you guys had a Bad experience but I got all the Valid legal letters once after I paid my debts, May be a possibility some has used my details in taking the loan.....
Clearly Shane is in on the scam... I contacted the law firm, who confirmed that they have no relation to these fake phone calls and that I should contact the police.
Hi have received a call from the Law Office of Howard Fletcher. Telling me that I need to fax information over to them in regards to a PayDay loan that was taken out. Just from the background noise over the phone, I knew something did not sound right. Do not do anything and call a REAL attorney.
