Call it a 'prank' call because Scammer/Fraudster was an available option. A only slightly different varient of the old credit card rate reduction scam.
Received a call from this number at work. Claimed to be customer service wanting to lower my interest rate on my credit cards. I don't give out my direct work number, so another annoying bogus call.
I just got a call now from this number at about 5:55 PM NY time and all they said was F--K Y-- in a very horror movie like voice. Got it through my voice mail because I never answer calls if I don't know who it is. Some idiot has a lot of time on their hands.
Telemarketer touting the lower credit card interest rate scam. CID showed "FORD COREY 310-971-3487". I believe Mr Ford to be the victim of a spoofed name/number so Mr Ford receives all the callback flack from the illegal telemarketing call.
