I received a call yesterday from this telephone number 310-975-8377 claiming to be a company called HCA (Beverly Hill C name comes on the caller id). The gentleman stated that I showed interest in a weight loss product online. He stated that he could give me the product free and all I would have to do is pay shipping and handling for $4.95. He wanted to know if I was still interested in the product. I told him that there are so many scams today I don't like doing anything on the phone. I asked for his website information and he gave it to me but he told me if I go on the website (hcapower.com) it will cost $99. I told him I would think about it and get back with him. Later I decided to look the phone number in Google and received a lot of complaints against this number. I called the number back and a lady answered and asked if I had received a call from them and I told her yes. She quickly stated my name and told me they were trying to contact me about a weight loss product. I quickly hung up the phone. I have already been a victim of debt collection scam and I think they sold my information to another scam artist. Please be careful and never give your credit card information over the phone.
I just received a call from this number. I returned the call instead of answering and a man answered and said that he was calling me in regards to a weight loss supplement. I kindly explained to him that I am 5'11" and 125. I did not ever inquire about such a thing. He apologized.
I saw this number on my caller I.D. I called them back. It is some kind of customer service number. I asked them to remove my number as I was on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
