I am a real auto parts merchant who was scammed by these people. They ordered a part, asked me to send it to a different location, then called and said that they never actually ordered it, stopped payment on the card, etc.-When I talked to them, they said that there were many businesses in Chicago named "Quality Auto Parts" and that I didn't even know their address. Then they hung up. They did not expect that I would actually keep the faxed order form. But I did.
I received a call from this number after doing a search for auto parts as well. The person did leave a message indicating that she was calling from Quality Auto Parts in response to my request for a tail light. She asked that I call her back to order. I have yet to call back.
I got a call from this number when I placed a call to an online auto parts supplier. They did leave a message and said they were from Quality Auto Parts and when I called them back that was the same story. I think that Quality Auto Parts is using a call center in India as each person I talked with had a non-US accent with the majority of the accents being Indian. It seems like a legitimate number but I'm hoping that my number won't be shopped out now.
I was also searching for a car part. I figured it was a fraud. He wanted a little over $600 for a used fender when I can get a new one for less than half that.
