This number called our home twice in one afternoon saying they were from a civil claims court looking for a "Francis Hughes" said that this was the emergency number that they had been given. When told that there was nobody by that name, they persisted but finally hung up, only to call again 2 hours later. We called the number back and told them to decease as we did not know this person, and the man asked "do you know the muffin man" and started singing the song! A nuisance caller, and a collection agency it appears. Number has been reported, and blocked.
I just received a call from this number. The gentleman had my name and I verified that was me. He said he had a civil claim against me and wanted to verify the last 4 digits of my SS#. He read off 4 numbers and I said, no, that is not me. He said he would take me out of the system, he cross referrenced and got my name and phone number, wished me a good day and that was it. The 312 area code is out of Chicago - I am in MN. I wonder if it pertains to the toll violations Ill is trying to collect - don't know for sure.
