he did the same thing to me today. I just got this number 3 months ago, and he called being rude looking for my brother in law for a collections case that is 8 years old, but wont give me any information. He threatened to lock me up for aiding my brother in law, but when I asked him if he was a sworn law enforcement officer employed by a city, county, state, or federal agency, he did not want to talk to me anymore. How did he get my new number???
I got a call from this number also. It was a man by the name of Richard Treman who is a process server, or so he says. He left the message with my mother and said he was looking for a person by the name of Maryland Mays and that I was listed as her relative of hers and wondered if she lived at my address (which he had). My mother explained that she has no idea of any relative of ours named Maryland Mays and took the message. I told my husband about it and he said that Maryland Mays is his ex-wife's mother. !!!!!!
When I returned the call he was very rude and angry with me. I explained that I am not a relative and started asking questions as to how he retained my information and how he believes Maryland and I are related. His only explination to me was that he found my name listed as a relative or acquantance of Maryland Mays from a government site but wouldn't tell me which one. I asked if he wanted the phone numbers from my husband on Maryland Mays and her family (which lives in Texas and I live in Maryland) but he ended up hanging up on me. This is all very bizzar and I am a little concerned as to how they found my info.
Caller states there is a claim against me and a warrant out for my arrest. Won't identify what it is about. Is rude, harrassing and beligerant. Uses a name I had over five years ago. They are also calling someone I know but didn't know 5 years ago. And...this person only has had there number for 6 months! Caller is totally rude to this person too. If this caller/company was legit...wouldn't it make more sense to state their business?
