The caller is Harris & Harris out of Illinois. I didn't think I had a debt for collection. It was for an unpaid parking ticket that I had tried to fight and then refused to pay because the meter maid had ticketed me even though I had a meter receipt in my window. I don't normally park in downtown Philadelphia, and didn't know that the meter receipt had to be on the passenger side of the dash, not the middle or driver side of the dash, and for that I had to pay $106.
You are right - Collector for Phila. Parking Authority. Ticket for being parked on a street that was being renovated by the construction company I was working for. We had permit for lane closure, street was a torn up, desolate, rat infested street. Why would anyone even want to be there - but the PPA had to issue a ticket. I will never pay that ticket. Ever!
I didn't answer the phone and called the number back. It is "Harris and HArris" and the message tells you it is an attempt to collect a debt. I have no debt so I am not pursueing the call.
