Received the same call from the accented woman today. She said that she had stayed here, a year ago!, and wanted to send a nice note to the "general manager" and asked for his email address. I asked her last name and she said "Smith", I almost fell over laughing. Since the email address is already on-line I gave it to her and then blocked the #. I guess we won't be seeing "Mrs. Smith" here anytime soon.
heavy Indian accent asked if he had reached a company. Told him this was a private residence. He apologized, said he would remover my number and thanked me.
A woman with a heavy accent called on March 5, 2015. She said she needed our business info to give to her associate to make a reservation with us via email. She asked for our business name, phone, email and my name and if I was the innkeeper or the owner. All this info is available on our website and anyone from around the world can book any time. So after hanging up I got suspicious and tried to call this number back. Verizon message said this number is not in service. Now am awaiting to see what was the point of all of this. Who is going to bug as with what new scheme?
A man with a heavy accent called and wanted to know how many rooms we had, our website and email. He then asked if I knew a certain staff member and if she was a friend. I said yes and he proceeded to tell me that they were in the same class in high school and asked if could have her email. I explained that I also went to high school with her. Neither of us recognize the name and the call had the tell-tale signs of a telemarketer....pauses in conversations, background noise, etc.
