They hung up when I answered, probably because I'm not a nice guy on the phone (or off). It sounds like the same group that called a few weeks ago from Maryland with a cockamamie story about an unpaid bill and a law suit. I told them to bring it on! I never heard from them again

It's always the same kind of deal, someone has filed a civil complaint
against me, and a warrant has already been issued for my arrest. They refuse to say who or why, and insist that I call another number at my expense in order to find out what it is that I'm in trouble for. The first time it happened, it really scared the living [***] out of me.(I've been in trouble with law before, when I was a kid.) I'm disabled and live alone, with no support system, so I spent a night and day worried that I was going back to jail. I even thought about killing myself, because I'd really rather be dead, than to go to jail again. I thank God that I had a friend that told me what to do, and that every thing would be alright.
Now, when they call, I have fun playing with their heads, and think I may have scared the [***] out of them a couple of times too. I sure hope we can catch them. I'm willing to do anything I can, if it will help.
A message was left on my answering machine by an "Officer Sanchez" who was trying to reach my ex-husband. He called the number given in the message and was told that there is a lawsuit against him from a car dealer in Florida. These people had his social security number, address, and the name of the ex-wife he recently divorced. They also had his business name and said his business was listed as the co-signer on a car loan that originated in 2002. What's interesting about this is that his company wasn't even founded until 2005. I told him to give these people his lawyer's phone number the next time they call. I'm betting he'll never hear from them again after that.
