You people have got to STOP CALLING NUMBERS BACK!!!!! There is a scam going around and when YOU call THEM, your call automatically sets up billing on your account! Missed call scams start by ringing your phone and hanging up so quickly that you can’t answer the call in time. People will often then call the number back but The number you call back may be redirected to a premium rate service without your knowledge, which means you will be charged a lot of money per minute. STOP CALLING NUMBERS BACK!!! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!
answered the phone from a random chicago number, obvious recording trying to sound authentic, name given was "joan aldred" or something. hung up before it could say any more. annoying.
Yep, I just talked to "Joan" too... I'm also shocked... it's a bot! Man that thing sounded real, even had the 'uh's and 'um's just like a person. She even sounded miffed when I said to take me off the list, though now I wonder if it actually will. First time I've ever gotten a telemarketer call on my cell... hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
