A new player in an on-going series of phone scams.

I'm continuing to get calls from this number 312-340-5588. The caller ID shows "Member Services". When I call back, the automated message states "If you wish to no longer received calls, please press 1 (which I've done now the last 3 times I've received the call). It will take up to 24 hours to remove your number." Now let's see when I get another call even though I've followed the instructions to have my number removed.

Sooner or later all of us citizens that are getting sick and tired of all these telemarketer calls are going to get together and file a class action suit, or whatever it takes to stop all this crap. If we opt to not be contacted again then that should be it. They deliberately give you the option of getting off their calling list and then deliberately ignore it and keep on calling you. Its insane and driving all of us nuts. Some big shot lawyer needs to find a loophole in the law where we can stop these calls. Its our phone, our privacy, our sanity that they are violating. It must stop.

"Hello and thanks for calling.  If you'd like to be placed on our do not call list, press 1 now."
