They, whoever "they" are called and left a 9second message. All I got was that "one of his agents(whoever "he" is) would be happy to answer any questions." Well I've got a ton, starting with who the hell are you and why would I care! Lol. Obviously a scam. And based on the other comments here, not very believable "acting".
I received a call from Mr. Davis at SP Legal Services. His message stated "I noticed there has been no response to the state mandated notification that was mailed to you either by you or your retained attorney. Is very important I speak with one of the two of you immediately." He never mentioned my name or said this message is intended for xxxx. I called the number from another phone. It was answered Fraud Division, please let your information.
I got the same thing just about the same time as you did! A man's voice said that my telephone # is being investigated for fraud and I need to call and speak with them at once! I don't even live in the US! This is clearly a scam of some sort. If not, they would have had live operators answering calls.
These type of calls should be against the law! I receeive same call however I got a live person and since Mr.Davis did not answer a Ms. Davis started with the BS of questions or should I say interrogation. Tells me that that they sent me something in the msil which is false. After informing her I had no idea what or never heard of what she was speaking about me being charged. She then tells me she suggest I get a lawer and she was going to be sending my paperwork over to the state. That her company is just a litigation service that work for different small companies.
