This numbers has called my cell phone cell phone several times. After reading all the post I looked up Harris & Harris. Debt collection for medical, government and utilities is the info I found. We owe nothing. Decided to call the number. Told woman who answered the phone that I just got a call from their number. She asked my number, I told her, she looked something up my # and repeated some persons name I have never heard of. Told her that, and she said she would remove my number. Will see how that goes.
They are not a law office. This is a debt collection agency that Northshore University Healthcare System (Evanston, IL) uses. H&H buys up the hospital's debt for pennies on the dollar which the hospital turns over before you and your insurance company have had a chance to settle the bill. Thus, 90 percent of the time you no longer owe the debt, but H&H will continue to call. Why? Because they would rather harass you than get their money back from the institution.
