Bottom feeder debt collector shop trying to pose (rather lamely) as a legal firm. They leave a hilariously low quality recording that gives an imperceptible and mispronounced name of someone who has zero association to the number called. I really wish I could find exactly where these MF-ers are calling from.....
Received a call from this number with name on answering machine Harris Harris. Don't they mean Harass Harass. Did not ask for anyone by name just said they were calling for Harris Harris and that they were debt collectors. I was instructed to call their number. Since they did not ask for anyone by name and I do not have outstanding debt other than a VA loan, which is paid up, I will not be calling this number. Apparently they are hoping to reach someone who has a debt problem and capitalize on it. Seems to me they are scamming and will keep all the money they collect for themselves. Don't fall for it.
These guys call everyday to collect tickets for the City of Dallas. Their harassing calls can be expected any and all times of the day or night. They are agent of the city of Dallas seeking to collect old red-light camera tickets that seemingly never expire.
Talked to them once before. Said it was about a red light ticket. They had no license plate number, car make, car model, car color, no picture or video of incident. Told them without any evidence/justification of the alleged incident, I can't/won't help them. Essentially, I can't see they have any validation of the debt. They made some claims about possible repercussions, but turns out they are expressly prohibited by state law (at least one or two I recall them making). Without additional information, I don't even know if I even own the vehicle anymore.
We have repeatedly had calls from this company, for over 10 years now. When I notified them the first time that the person they are looking for is unknown to us, they promised to take our number off their list. Which may have happened, as the calls then come from a different collector for a while, and then whomever the person they are looking for owes money to, then reassigns the collections to another firm. After a period of time, Harris & Harris begin again. The only similarity between the name they are looking for and us is the same first letter of the first name. The real crime here is that the creditor just rotates the account to another collector over and over again. I no longer answer nor respond to any calls. In fact, our home number is ignored, and after a few days, we just go in and erase all the collectors' messages. Of course, when I explain that I am not whom they are looking for, they say that they cannot discuss the account they attempt to collect, because I've already told them I am not the correct person.
